We took a direct plane from Perth to Exmouth …. well direct as Exmouth is almost at the end of the world we had to fly to Learmonth a Aussi Airforce base also utilized force racial transportation. The problem … Learmonth is about 40km south of Exmouth and we did not find a solution for the transport….. after spending several hours with a travel consultant we found out ….
1. No free bus 🚎 to Exmouth
2. You can order a Taxi 🚕 but you have to pay both ways
3. Rental cars 🚗 yes but we could not drop it in Exmouth…..
4. Walking ….. No 40km at 41 degrees Celsius …. No way
So we hired a offshore bus company and were sitting in a bus with some travelers (had provably the same idea) and many offshore gas and oil workers.
Solution worked and we ended up in Exmouth at Wicked Campers – the only company renting 4WD campers out of this remote area. Therefore we had to pay a remote fee of 300 AUD and received a lousy service. The lady who handed over the car made the impression we destroy her day – unfriendly – rude – incompetent…. she was not even able to show us how to pitch the root tent ⛺️. At the first night we found out why…..it was complicated -hard work – and you had a big laugh 😂 on most campgrounds when they saw this Monster…… my family continuously remember me on this camper booking adventure….

The seven step procedure to pitch the roof tent:
1. Get the winches ready e.g. untangle the mess
2. Position the winches on the box
3. Attach the hook to the roof point and move the tent max 50% up
4. Change position – when tent flips over it could hurt you heavily
5. Release support beam
6. Attach support beam….. I never thought this will really support the weight of the tent
7. Get the ESKI out and drink a beer 🍺 for well execution
This took us the first time 60 min. What made some members of the team rather bored…

We managed it to get the time down to 15 min after 10 days of practice.
Ningaloo and Cape Range National Park is famous for the great weather and the wonderful beaches you can find almost anywhere. Big fish 🐠 coming direly to the shore and can be observed from max. 2 m distance…. a really cool experience also the opportunity to snorkel in crystal clear sea water was unbeaten so far.
